Culture & customs

Lokta paper is made from the bark of a Himalayan shrub. It is strong enough to last centuries and is used for official documents.

Men’s Dhaka topi, the slanted cap woven from Dhaka cloth, is part of the national dress. You’ll see many of them at Tihar.
