Culture & customs
Dashain ends on the full moon of Kartik. Kojagrat means “who is awake?” Legend says the goddess Laxmi goes from house to house on this night asking that question, and she blesses the homes where someone stays up. Families stay awake playing games and talking.
It’s also the last day tika can be given. Anyone who couldn’t reach their elders before now visits them today.
