Culture & customs
Bhaktapur is the best-preserved of the three old royal cities of the valley. Its squares are still used for everyday life: grain dries in the sun, and people carry water and sit on the temple steps.
Juju dhau is thick, sweet buffalo-milk yogurt set in clay pots, which absorb moisture.
